WHAT IS YOUR TITLE/POSITION?

My position is Customer Success Specialist. My role is to nurture our current clients and to ensure that they are getting the most out of their WeddingDates subscription to achieve further success in their wedding business.

HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN WITH WEDDINGDATES?

Nearly 2 months so far! There has been lots to learn and I’ve already had great conversations with some of our clients.

WHAT’S THE BIGGEST LESSON YOU’VE CARRIED OVER TO YOUR CURRENT ROLE FROM YOUR PREVIOUS JOBS?

The biggest thing that I’ve carried with me from previous positions is probably what great customer success actually looks like. Having worked in customer service for 11 years, I’ve learnt what works and what doesn’t. Building rapport and having regular communication with customers can go a long way! I’ve also learnt what processes to put in place to really create a great customer experience.

WHAT IS YOUR BIGGEST ACHIEVEMENT WITHIN THIS ROLE TO DATE? (WHAT ARE YOU MOST PROUD OF?)

My biggest achievement so far is giving my first onboarding calls. Having only been at WeddingDates for 2 months, I’m proud of learning our product and processes quick enough to already start helping our customers.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE PART OF YOUR JOB AND WHY?

My favourite part about the job so far is learning more about the wedding industry and about the amazing venues that we work with. I love having calls with our customers and helping them to see how WeddingDates can help them to succeed on a day to day basis.

WHEN YOU WERE A KID, WHAT DID YOU WANT TO BE WHEN YOU GREW UP?

When I was younger I wanted to be a dancer on the West End. I’ve danced various styles of dance since I was 4 years old and I remember going to see my first theatre show, ‘Mamma Mia’ and just being so in love with the dance numbers! Nowadays I don’t dance as much as I would like but I have performed in the West End twice at Her Majesty’s Theatre, which was an absolute dream come true!

IF YOU COULD WAVE A MAGIC WAND, WHAT WOULD BE YOUR DREAM FOR THIS JOB?

I would love to see the customer success team grow as the company grows. Customer Success is such a varied role and there’s so much that the title encompasses, that having multiple people focussed on the success of our customers would be a dream come true for this role.

Great Experience

WHAT IS THE COOLEST THING YOU’VE SEEN AT A WEDDING?

One of the best things that I’ve seen at a wedding was picture frame favours. Each guest had their own frame on their table with a picture of them with the bride/groom to take home. I thought that this was a really nice personal touch and it was a great conversation starter at the tables as people shared memories of where the picture was taken and how they know the couple.

WHAT IS THE CRAZIEST/WORST THING YOU’VE SEEN OR HEARD OF AT A WEDDING?

One of the craziest things that I’ve seen for a wedding was on an episode of ‘Don’t Tell the Bride’ when the groom organised for the bride to skydive to her ceremony in her wedding dress! Whilst the bride ended up loving it, It’s definitely not something that I will be doing at my wedding!

Great Experience

WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR FAVOURITE WAYS TO SPEND A WEEKEND?

On the weekends I like to spend time with my friends and family, get out on a walk with my fiance and my puppy, go for a nice pub lunch/afternoon tea or do a jigsaw puzzle. My fiance and I also love to make homemade pizza. In the summer, we fire up the outside pizza oven and on the not so sunny days we have a pizza and movie night. It’s something that we started doing in lockdown and has become a Saturday night tradition ever since!

Great Experience

HAVE YOU ANY PARTICULAR HOBBIES/INTERESTS OUTSIDE OF WORK?

Outside of work, I like to do calligraphy and hand lettering in my spare time. I’ve been doing  calligraphy for about 5 years and I recently did some signage and place names for a friend’s wedding which was a lot of fun! I also like to play board games and attend board game nights with my friends. As well as this, I love to sing. These days I just sing around the house but I’ve previously been part of a choir where I got to record a few songs at Abbey Road Studios in London!

HAVE YOU ANY GUILTY PLEASURES?

Cheesy music! Being a 90’s baby I love listening to bands such as Five, S Club 7 or The Backstreet Boys. Basically anything from the 90’s / 00’s is my guilty pleasure!

IF MONEY WAS NO OBJECT, WHAT WOULD BE THE FIRST THING YOU WOULD BUY?

If money was no object, I would probably buy a house in Bath, Somerset so that I could visit whenever I wanted to. Bath holds a lot of great memories for me and I love to visit as much as possible whenever I can.
